- I'd like to see Amiga clones, personally. I think it would be a fantastic
- boost for the machine.

- >Oh, cool, Your`re a real genius, Private GUMP!
-
- What is that supposed to mean? PCI is a far better bus design than Zorro
- III, and PCI cards will be extremely cheap to purchase if the next Amigas have
- PCI.
-

-
- That 'nonsense' only applies to DOS and Windows (running over DOS). I'd
- prefer my system not to fall over in a heap every time some program decides it
- doesn't want to play anymore.

- You really are an idiot. Hi-Octane, I assume, is a texture mapped racing
- game? Run WB in 800x600x256 colours on AGA - I dare you.
-
- PK>> >8. Amiga games suck compared to the onse in the PC world

-
- Oh, great refutement. Have you played great PC/Mac games like Full Throttle,
- Duke Nukem 3D, Havoc, Descent, etc? Most Amiga games are shitty football
- management games.

-
- Matter of specs. Amiga sound is 8-bit and PC/Mac sound is 16-bit. Nothing to
- do with taste at all, unless you think cassettes sound clearer than CDs.

- flopping around on your desk and needing an expensive case and power supply?

- Or 300 bucks to do serious 3D work, or DTP or anything. Are you anything but
- a A1200-owning gamesplayer?
-
- PK>> >6. 16 megs of ram 60 ns: $408

-
- Stick it into a stock A1200. Go on, try it.
-
- PK>> >7. Pentium 120: $300
- >Wake me...
-
- Sure thing! Hey, Amiga owners are buying Pentiums because A1200s are crap and
- cost far too much! Very few people still write software for the machine.
- Amiga Technology seem to be slumming it and doing as little as possible to
- improve the machine, the OS or the publics perception of it.
-
- PK>> >8. 3.5 Floppy: $25

-
- They come in handy to run Mac games which don't come out on the Amiga.
-
- PK>> >9. 6x CD Rom: $148
- >Where`s the problem with using that on my AMIGA ?
-
- Apart from the fact that it doesn't fit anywhere, and you can't use a SCSI one
- without an ugly interface and cable hanging off the side of your machine.
-
- PK>> It's a bit more here in Canada.

-
- Explain what makes the Amiga a good choice for somebody who is undecided
- between the Amiga and PC - price? No. Software? No. OS? W95 is good
- enough for most people.
-
- PCs do far more than play Doom. If you still think they suck, you probably
- haven't used a new, well-configured PCI system for more than 5 minutes.
